Late last year Lucas did a little research into how DCs are combining voice with scanning and other mobile technologies, and we’ve turned the results of that survey into a new Infographic on Best Practices in Mobile Technology usage. Click the image below to download this new Infographic.
As illustrated in the Infographic, 8 out of 10 new Jennifer users (since 2010) are using voice and scanning side-by-side in voice picking and other applications, and the first use of voice and scanning was more than 10 years ago. As noted in an earlier blog, the use of voice and scanning together is the rule, and its nothing new (at least among Jennifer users).
We’d love to get your feedback on this illustration? Do you agree with the trends we are seeing? How do you think the emergence of new mobile devices (smart watches and glasses, for example), will affect these trends? When do you think we will see widespread use of mobile RFID readers?
