LUCAS SYSTEMS CTO TO DISCUSS AUGMENTED REALITY FOR THE DISTRIBUTION CENTER AT THE ECOMMERCE OPERATIONS SUMMIT
During the Ecommerce Operations Summit, April 3-5, Lucas will be demonstrating new tools and technologies to improve order picking and other mobile work in the distribution center, presenting on a discussion panel about Augmented Reality, and participating in a fulfillment center tour at Abercrombie & Fitch.

The Ecommerce Operations Summit provides insight and ideas to help direct to consumer retailers achieve efficiencies and improved customer experience in their fulfillment centers. The conference kicks off with a series of facility tours, including a tour of Abercrombie & Fitch’s one million sq. ft. dedicated ecommerce fulfillment center. On Thursday, April 5, Krishna Venkatasamy, Lucas’ Chief Technology Officer will be presenting on a panel titled “Is The Future Now? Using AR and Heads Up Display In the DC.” The session will provide attendees with an overview of smart glass and vision technology, and explore how fulfillment centers can leverage the technology alongside voice picking and other technologies to improve DC tasks. Executives from DHL Supply Chain will also review their experience using vision picking in facilities in the Netherlands and in Columbus.
