Barcoding And Lucas Team Up
Today Lucas Systems Announced a Strategic Alliance with Barcoding, Inc., a Leader in Enterprise-Wide Mobility Solutions
Lucas Systems, Inc.,the largest independent provider of voice-directed warehouse applications, today announced that it has entered into a strategic alliance with Barcoding, Inc., a leader in enterprise-wide mobility solutions. Under the partnership, Barcoding and Lucas will jointly market and sell Jennifer™ VoicePlus solutions – the first voice directed warehouse application built to run on open, industry standard mobile computers rather than single-purpose, voice-only hardware.
“Jennifer VoicePlus is the perfect extension to our mobility offerings for warehouse operations,” said Shane Snyder, Vice President of Sales, Barcoding, Inc. “Through this partnership, new and existing Barcoding customers will receive the full advantage of Jennifer’s next-generation voice-plus capabilities that drive higher ROI and lower total cost of ownership than older voice-only systems.”
Jennifer VoicePlus supports voice picking and other voice directed warehouse tasks to improve associate productivity and accuracy while reducing distribution center costs. Jennifer is optimized for standard mobile computers, allowing customers to run Jennifer applications on the same terminals they already use for non-voice radio frequency (RF) applications. This provides additional cost savings and flexibility compared to traditional voice-only solutions.
“Together, Barcoding and Lucas deliver voice directed warehouse solutions that provide greater operational improvements than any other option on the market,” said Chris Sweeney, Senior Vice President of Lucas Systems. “Jennifer provides comprehensive voice-plus capabilities that allow users to use voice or scan barcodes interchangeably, ensuring they can work accurately and productively. For warehouse managers, Jennifer includes a complete suite of process reporting, productivity and other management tools – the Engage Management Services Console – that complement and extend existing warehouse management, labor management and other back-end systems.”
