Stratix and Lucas Team Up
Stratix Extends Enterprise Mobility Offerings with Jennifer VoicePlus by Lucas Systems
Lucas Systems, Inc., the leading provider of voice-directed warehouse applications for open, mobile computers, today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership withStratix Corporation, a leading mobile enterprise solutions innovator. Under the partnership, Stratix and Lucas will jointly market, sell and support Jennifer VoicePlus solutions – the first voice directed warehouse application built to run on open, industry standard mobile computers rather than single-purpose voice-only hardware. Jennifer supports voice picking and other voice directed warehouse tasks to improve associate productivity and accuracy while reducing distribution center costs.
“Jennifer VoicePlus offers next-generation voice capabilities that help fulfillment and distribution centers achieve efficiency far beyond legacy voice-only solutions,” says Peter Dalpe, Vice President of Sales, Stratix. “Previous voice solutions required special-purpose voice-only appliances, but Jennifer takes full advantage of the flexible data capture capabilities of today’s rugged mobile computers that are already widely deployed by our customers. Through our Jennifer partnership these customers can leverage advanced voice-plus capabilities to slash total hardware ownership costs and drive a greater return on their investments.”
Under this new partnership, Stratix will deliver voice directed warehouse solutions leveraging its end-to-end enterprise mobility services and Jennifer VoicePlus software optimized for best-of-breed ruggedized devices from leading hardware manufacturers. Jennifer is optimized for standard mobile computers, allowing customers to run Jennifer applications on the same terminals they already use for non-voice radio frequency (RF) applications, providing additional cost savings and flexibility compared to traditional voice-only solutions.
“Together, Stratix and Lucas deliver voice directed warehouse solutions that provide bigger operational improvements than any other option on the market,” says Chris Sweeney, SVP of Lucas Systems. “Jennifer VoicePlus provides comprehensive voice-plus capabilities that allow users to use voice or scan barcodes interchangeably, ensuring they can work as accurately and productively as possible. And for warehouse managers, Jennifer comes with a complete suite of process reporting, productivity and other management tools – the Engage Management Services Console – that complement and extend existing warehouse management, labor management and other back-end systems.”
