Lucas Extends GS1 Standards Support For Jennifer VoicePlus
Leading Provider of Voice-Directed Warehouse Solutions Adds GS1 Standards Certification To Promote Standards-Based Track and Trace Capabilities in Distribution Centers
Lucas Systems, Inc., the largest independent provider of voice-directed warehouse applications, today announced that it has achieved GS1 US Certification. GS1 certification recognizes Lucas Systems’ commitment and expertise in supporting GS1 standards with customers using Jennifer VoicePlus voice-directed warehouse solutions. Jennifer VoicePlus and Jennifer FoodSelect, the industry’s only voice solution optimized for grocery, foodservice and other food distributors, support GS1 data and barcode standards.
“GS1 Standards are becoming increasingly important for manufacturers, distributors and retailers across industries, ranging from consumer packaged goods, to grocery and foodservice, to pharmaceuticals,” said Jennifer Lachenman, Vice President of Product Strategy at Lucas Systems, Inc. “Lucas Systems has consistently aligned its solutions and technology with standardization initiatives, and for many years we have delivered comprehensive track and trace capabilities using industry-standard barcode scanning technology, alongside voice. We remain committed to helping our customers implement and use GS1 data and barcode standards as part of their Jennifer voice solutions.”
GS1 Standards allow companies and trading partners to use a “common language” to identify items in the supply chain. This common language allows companies to capture and share supply chain information globally. Most importantly, standards enable collaboration with trading partners, an optimized supply chain, and more efficient business processes that reduce human error and cut costs. All Jennifer VoicePlus solutions, including Jennifer FoodSelect, support the use of GS1 data and barcode standards to ensure the efficient capture and sharing of product data as items flow from manufacturers to distribution centers and to end consumers.
